Balata or Balaat, means floor tile in both Hebrew and Arabic. This traditional Middle eastern floor tile is made from local aggregate. The Balata tile is 20x20cm, it is common to measure room size by counting tiles and multiple by 20.
The ruler is made from reclaim material.
